School Council

The School Council of Buckingham Park Primary consists of two representatives from each class, from Year 1 to Year 6. The School Council usually meets weekly, to express their views and make decisions.  Every Monday, each class has its own council meeting where issues are discussed and ideas taken forward, by the class representatives, to the whole School Council meeting which is held later in the week.

We are always keen to know the views of our pupils. For example, how we could improve the playground, whether they feel safe in school, how we can organise different events, whether they would find a homework club useful and the sorts of prizes they would like for attendance awards.

Recent decisions have included:

  • Playground rules
  • Which charity to raise funds for
  • Purchasing a buddy bench for the upper school playground
  • How to spend supermarket vouchers
  • Choosing the new small play equipment for the playground
