What the children will learn

Our Curricuum

At Buckingham Park Primary, we are always looking for ways to improve and strengthen the quality of the curriculum that we offer. As part of this work, we have adopted a ‘topic-based’ curriculum, based on creative learning projects that meet the needs of all our children.

We  use these learning projects as a basis for delivering the national curriculum in an engaging and creative manner. The specific learning objectives are modified to ensure a broad and balanced coverage of the national curriculum whilst also ensuring that the learning opportunities are most appropriate for our children.

It is our belief that children learn better when they are encouraged to use their imagination and apply their learning to engaging contexts. Our curriculum provides plenty of learning challenges throughout the academic year that require children to solve problems, apply themselves creatively and express their knowledge and understanding effectively across the curriculum.

What topics do children experience at Buckingham Park Primary.
