Year 5 and 6 Sports Day 2016

IMG_1200IMG_1201IMG_1199IMG_1139IMG_1112IMG_1159(2)IMG_1125(1)IMG_1181(1)IMG_1121IMG_1161

You can see from the pictures the amount of effort the children put into the races and how much they enjoyed it. Well done.

Another great day for sport at Buckingham Park Primary

After a damp morning, the sun shone for the whole afternoon as children from Years 5 and 6 took part in a range of sporting activities.

In front of a good turn out of cheering parents, the children demonstrated a competitive spirit and a good sporting approach in equal measure. Track events were the focus of the day as boys and girls took part in sprints, hurdles, hoop and skipping races, culminating in the exciting relay races. The crowd played their part with great encouragement and rapturous applause for every runner.

The pictures testify that the day was a great success for Years 5 and 6, and a great opportunity to share the track skills that children have been developing this term. Scroll down the page to see if you can spot any familiar faces on the track or in the crowd. Good luck to all competitors in the other sports days at Buckingham Park Primary.

A special mention to Mrs Thomas for organising the races.
