Information for new families
A smooth transition from pre-school settings to school is vital for a positive and happy start for your child and for you.
A warm welcome supports your child's emotional wellbeing by helping them to develop a sense of belonging and allows them to establish a strong foundation for their learning and relationships.

We send important paperwork to you and a welcome postcard to your child.
Please return the paperwork to us by 28.4.23, so that we know which pre-school setting your child attends and we can arrange to visit them.
May
Early May
Teachers and other school staff visit pre-school settings to learn about your child.
Late May
The Early Years Team make 3 new classes: Robins, Finches and Linnets.
June
Early June
You receive information about classes and dates and your child receives a special booklet all about our school.
Mid June
You come to school to meet your child's teacher.
Late June
You are both invited to 'Stay and Play' in your child's classroom. Your child will recieve a gift to take home to enjoy at home.
July
Your child comes to play with new friends and spend time with their teachers. You can enjoy a coffee and a chat with other parents in our studio. You will also have the opportunity to purchase school uniform and meet members of our PTA.
September
At last, it's time to start school!
