A Visit from Sir Teachalot

Trying on period costumes

Sir Teachalot brought some fascinating costumes for us to try on. Each piece of armour would have been warn by different armies.

We learnt that each army had their own crest, like the lions on this shield. This helped soldiers to identify each other because they could not see their faces when they wore the helmets.

Jousting

Sir Teachalot tought us how to build a strong and safe castle.

Destroying the Castle!

IMG_0313

We used a trebuchet to destroy the castle. We learnt that this was how enemies attacked castles.

Year 2 had a fantastic day when we were visited by Sir Teachalot!

We used the lance to collect the hoops. The more hoops we collected, the more points we received for our class. Wagtails were the winners with 48 points!
